My Standard chiller is having problems coolingUpdated a year ago
1. It is necessary to fill the tub with enough water during the first use. Fill the water level inside the Ice Bath MAX higher than the height of the chiller/heater’s water inlet.
2. Power off the chiller/heater. Place a hose into the tub at the lower tub inlet. The head of the hose and the bottom inlet should be lined up. Turn on the hose and run the water through the tubes. This will prime the system and purge any air out of the hoses. Continue this process until you see a steady flow of water with no air bubbles come out of the top inlet into the tub.
3. Check the filter housing connection. This can cross thread and if so, this will allow air into the water flow preventing the unit to have the ability to start cooling or heating water. Simply removing the water filter housing and reconnecting can solve this issue. The water filter housing should thread on smoothly with minimal resistance. If it is still not circulating, follow these steps:
1. Power off the chiller/heater.
2. Rotate the filter bottle to the left, loosening it slightly by 1-2 turns, leaving a gap to release the air.
3. After water flows into the filter bottle, the air is pushed out by the water through the gap.
4. Tighten the filter bottle by twisting it to the right.
4. Turn off the unit. Remove the filter from the filter housing and run the unit with an empty filter housing unit. If the unit starts to run correctly, replace the filter and run it again.
If the filter is dirty, clogged, or overused, it will cause the water flow to be disrupted, and in some cases, signal the chiller to shut down. On average, micron filters last from 1 to 1.5 months before they need to be changed. If the condition is in the “Replace” range (see image below), then replace the filter with a new one. To access the Water Filter, turn the Lower Water Filter Housing to the left. When changing the filter, empty water from Lower Water Filter Housing fully and refill up to the top with fresh water.
In cases where units are found to need further troubleshooting, we will guide you through the process, or have you return the unit for repairs or replacements if needed. Our team is dedicated to ensuring your complete satisfaction and is here to support you every step of the way.
